Achievements

• Coordination in between Police and Prosecution has been established at the Provincial level as well as at District level
• Training of Prosecutors through various Donors Agencies has been started
• Reference & Research Cell has been established in the Directorate and the same is providing updated case laws to all District formations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in support of prosecution cases
• Uniform for Prosecutors and supporting staff have been arranged and provided to the concerned
• Monitoring system has been streamlined
• The Provincial Government has created the following posts of officers.

1. Regional Directors (BPS-20) (7)
2. Deputy Public Prosecutor (BS-17) (12)
3. Assistant Public Prosecutor (BS-16) (89)

• Mechanism for appointment of Special Public Prosecutors has been streamlined and in future the Special Public Prosecutors will be appointed by conducting written test, interview and after examining their presentation skills.
• Scrutiny of cases has been converted to initial stage
• Strict implementation of Prosecution Act is in place consequently the conviction ratio has been increased
• Law books have been provided to the District Public Prosecutors offices in Malakand Division funded by UNDP
• Computer equipments and furniture have provided to all Districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
• Rates of Special Public Prosecutors and Pauper Counsel have been enhanced
• In high profile cases team of prosecutors is constituted to be in contact with investigation officer round the clock for issuance of guidelines on various issues and as a result ratio of conviction in Anti-Terrorism cases enhanced considerably
